Suspension of Deli Hub Catering Pte Ltd’s food business operations
27 October 2026
The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) and the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) are investigating two incidents of gastroenteritis reported at MOE Kindergarten @ Springdale and MOE Kindergarten @ Gongshang, located at 71 Anchorvale Link Singapore 544799 and 1 Tampines Street 42 Singapore 529176 respectively. The Ministry of Education is working closely with CDA, SFA, and the affected MOE Kindergartens (MKs) to assist in the investigations.
As of 26 October 2026, a total of 53 individuals (51 students and two staff) were reported to have developed gastroenteritis symptoms between 21 and 23 October 2026, after consuming food supplied by Deli Hub Catering Pte Ltd, engaged by the Kindergarten Care (KCare) operator at the two MKs. These individuals had either sought outpatient treatment, self-medicated, or recovered without treatment. None were hospitalised. The two MKs have stepped-up hygiene and precautionary measures, including thorough cleaning and disinfection of the affected areas.
In view of the suspected ongoing transmission, SFA has suspended the food business operations of Deli Hub Catering Pte Ltd, located at 30B Quality Road #04-01/02 Singapore 618826 with effect from 27 October 2026 until further notice. The licensee is required to comply with measures during the suspension, including cleaning and sanitising the premises, equipment, and utensils.
All food workers working in the premises are required to re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1 and be tested negative for foodborne pathogens, before they can resume work as food workers. The appointed Food Hygiene Officer working at the premises must also re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 3 before he/she can resume work as a Food Hygiene Officer. In the interim, the KCare operator has arranged another food supplier for the two kindergartens.
Food safety is a joint responsibility. SFA would like to remind food businesses to observe good food safety practices at all times. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act. In the interest of maintaining food safety standards across all food businesses establishments, members of the public who come across poor food safety practices in food businesses are advised not to patronise such outlets and to report to SFA via the online feedback form (www.sfa.gov.sg/feedback (opens in new tab)) with details for our follow-up investigations.
