Before you forget, good hygiene matters.

Why good hygiene matters

Respiratory infections like seasonal influenza, COVID-19, and pneumonia circulate year-round in Singapore. Germs can spread quickly and easily if we are not careful.
Simple hygiene habits can go a long way in protecting yourself, your loved ones and your community. That's why good hygiene matters.
What you can do

Wash your hands with soap
Washing your hands with water alone isn't enough to break germs down. Wash your hands with soap and water for least 20 seconds, or use a hand sanitiser with at least 60% alcohol, especially before eating, after using the toilet, and after coughing or sneezing.
Mask up if you’re unwell
Wearing a mask when you're sick protects the people around you, especially the elderly, young children, and medically vulnerable. Use tissue or the inside of your elbow to cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
Stay home when you’re sick
If you're feeling unwell, rest and recover at home. Showing up when sick puts others at risk of getting your germs.
